The YF has had an interesting month. Since the last time the Church Chimes was published the YF has had Pastor Eric and Angi Neher as guest leaders while Dustin Riley (the regular leader) and Mindy Barnes were getting married. (Thanks, guys!)

Then, to start the month of March, the YF held this years French Fry Hunt. Thanks to Stephanie Ritchie's posters and a bunch of volunteer drivers we discovered that Carl's Jr. had the overall best fries this year (vs. Burger King, Jack in the Box and Del Taco).

The really big news for this edition, I would have to say, is the opening of the YF room. On March 8 - with two loveseats, a couch and a chair (that's so ugly the only place it could belong is in a youth room), the young people of our church got a place to call their own. It was a great deal more comfortable and relaxed. The atmosphere was noticeably more welcoming and sociable right away. However, not everyone (myself included) got one of the comfy seats.

The awesome aspect of that situation is that our youth have been inviting friends and the group is growing. Praise God! It also points out a need for more seats. If anyone has any used and/or unwanted furniture they would like to donate, the YF would greatly appreciate it. And, it's obvious by the chair that's already there - appearance is negotiable. Contact Dustin Riley to make arrangements. Also, be on the look-out for fund-raisers in the future.

As a group the YF has taken some big steps into its future. With a "place of their own" and a growing idea of where they want to go, they have a good start. The youth group has some of the best members imaginable and with God's help the future is looking pretty bright.
